ALIENWARE AURORA R15 PACKAGING DESIGN

Utilizing SIOC methodology, this package allows for a unique unboxing experience. Top & bottom EPE foam cushions give superior protection, while still showing off the desktop chassis as the “hero” when the front panel folds down to open.
The objective for this project was to engineer a completely new unboxing experience for Alienware’s next generation of Aurora Desktop computers, keeping in mind, overall user experience, maximized palletization, and protection capabilities.

Unboxing: Hard to remove retail box from overpack due to weight of desktop. Accessory box and inside of retail box are kraft leading to a cheap feeling experience for an expensive machine. Machine is last item to be seen and unboxed.
